Tips for Writing Thank You Letters



Thank you letters are a critical decision making factor of the interview process because it demonstrates the candidate’s ability to follow up effectively, write coherently, and display genuine interest.



1. Make sure to send the letters on the same day, or at least within 24 hours






2. Write unique, personalized letters for each person you have interviewed with. It is critical to customized each content for each intertie. Do not send the same letter to each interview.




3. Follow up on what you have learned through the interview, and further reinforce your interest in the opportunity. Explain why you still believe this is the right next career move for you, and why you are a strong candidate for the opportunity.



4. Double check that you have the names of the interviewers correctly. Always review for any grammatical or spelling errors.
