April 2024 Insight: In February 2024, an Indeed report identified the top 10 jobs of 2024 according to salary, responsibilities, and requirements. After analyzing market research with candidate feedback and LinkedIn data, HRCap identified the current market status of these 10 job titles across the active candidate pool to identify which jobs are seeing the most movement and demand. The top 10 job titles identified were: Human Resources Manager (22.9%), Senior Accountant (12.8%), Mental Health Therapist (12.4%), Data Engineer (11.4%), Mechanical Engineer (10.5%), Mental Health Technician (8.0%), Loan Officer (8.0%), Electrical Engineer (6.2%), Psychiatrist (4.6%), and Construction Project Manager (3.2%).

This data analysis demonstrates a significant decline in tech-based roles, and rising importance of human-centric occupations, and the demand for mental health professionals through vocations such as Human Resources Manager, Mental Health Therapist, Mental Health Technician, and Psychiatrist as well.

We also analyzed that most Human Resource Managers have acquired the top 3 trending key skills: HR Operations, Payroll Processing & Admin (ADP), and Customer Experience. As such, we encourage both early career students and seasoned professionals to carefully assess which skills can best suit their career goals to better invest their time in professional skills development.

We encourage candidates to envision how they can grow their social and mental health awareness to swiftly adapt to shifting demands in our current labor market. Professionals must proactively invest in upskilling their soft skills to build and maintain stronger professional relationships. Only by investing in both technical and soft skills can then HR professionals strengthen their comprehensive expertise in total HR solutions.
