Leadership Table Talk - #2: Mentorship (Issue #147)

In our second "Leadership Table Talk," our Founder, President & CEO, Andrew Sungsoo Kim, emphasizes on the importance of mentorships as one of his core leadership philosophies. He shares his own experience of being mentored and actively mentoring throughout his career.

In celebration of AAPI Heritage Month in May, HRCap is starting our first-ever scholarship essay program for college, graduate school, and Ph.D. students! Through this scholarship, HRCap's mission is to identify and empower student leaders that embody HRCap's core values.

By providing financial awards, endorsing acknowledgment, and creating mentorship opportunities, HRCap hopes to identify, spotlight, reward, and further empower our next generation of leaders.

{ HR Insights }

Those who get mentored often feel more confident in their work and are more likely to get promoted. Not only does it benefit the mentee, but mentors will also feel empowered in the relationship and are more likely to be promoted as well. Consider finding a mentor or mentee to grow in your career.

{ Motivational Quote }

Sometimes we blame our circumstances for the person we have become. However, as Stephen Covey points out, we are not made by our circumstances but by our choices. We can decide who we become based on our actions. So let's make decisions that reflect who we want to become.
