On September 29, 2026, HRCap sponsored and participated in the 2026 New York K-Startup Forum, hosted by the Consulate General of Korea in New York and the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME), providing 1:1 business and workforce advisory sessions for participating founders and corporate executives.
The forum formed part of a broader effort by the Consulate General of Korea in New York and KOSME to strengthen the local ecosystem supporting Korean startups entering the U.S. market, building investor relationships, and establishing sustainable growth opportunities.
Held at the Korean Cultural Center New York, the event brought together Korean startups across artificial intelligence, robotics, biotechnology, logistics, and other emerging sectors to present their business models and growth strategies to U.S. investors, advisors, and local stakeholders.
HRCap’s CEO & President and AI Engineer joined the forum to engage directly with emerging business leaders and provide practical guidance across U.S. hiring, workforce strategy, market expansion, and organizational growth.
Driving Strategy through 1:1 Business Advisory

The program opened with remarks and introductions from Dr. Abraham Kim, President and CEO of The Korea Society; Ilho Kim, Vice President of the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency; and Sangho Kim, Consul General of the Republic of Korea in New York, setting the stage for a full day of startup presentations, meaningful dialogue, and strategic business advisory.
Following the opening program, the forum featured an IR Pitch session with 10 Korean startups pursuing growth opportunities in the U.S. and global markets, giving HRCap firsthand insight into their technologies, commercialization strategies, and expansion priorities.
Throughout the afternoon, startup founders, hiring leaders, industry partners, and resident companies from the KOSME Global Business Center (GBC) visited HRCap’s advisory booth to discuss specialized talent acquisition, U.S. market entry, workforce planning, and global employment support. Our discussions focused not only on how to recruit talent, but on how to build the right workforce for the company’s next stage of growth.
2026 New York K-Startup Forum 1:1 Business Consulting Booths
For many scaling companies, talent decisions become more complex as quickly as the business itself evolves. Hiring needs shift, roles expand, and each new addition must contribute meaningfully to product development, commercialization, market expansion, or organizational infrastructure.
As HRCap expands beyond our traditional foundation in executive search and HR consulting into workforce intelligence and proprietary technology, we are increasingly navigating many of the same growth questions facing the startups we advise — how to build the right team, bring new solutions to market, strengthen organizational capabilities, and scale sustainably.
The Changing Workforce Behind Emerging Businesses
One of the strongest themes throughout the forum was the speed at which technology is reshaping new businesses. Nearly every company featured during the IR Pitch session incorporated artificial intelligence, automation, or related technology into some aspect of its product or operating model.
For growing organizations, this creates an important workforce challenge. As technology changes how work is performed, companies must also reconsider how roles are structured, what capabilities matter most, and where human judgment and expertise continue to create differentiated value.
These same considerations have shaped HRCap’s own transformation. Through the development of CAP AI™ and other workforce intelligence capabilities, HRCap has continued to evaluate how technology can strengthen recruiting and HR processes while allowing professionals to focus more deeply on strategic advisory, relationship management, and complex decision-making.

Our experience building these solutions internally has also strengthened our perspective when advising emerging companies. New technology creates meaningful value only when it is connected to the right people, processes, business model, and market need.
Connecting Startup Innovation with HRCap 2.0
Participation in the 2026 New York K-Startup Forum reinforced the importance of connecting business strategy, workforce strategy, and technology as companies scale.
For emerging companies entering the United States, successful expansion requires more than an innovative product. It also requires the leadership, talent infrastructure, local market understanding, and organizational capabilities needed to execute that vision. This closely aligns with the direction of HRCap 2.0 and our continued evolution as a Global HR Intelligence Partner.
HRCap’s 26-year foundation in executive search and cross-border HR continues to anchor our work, while our expansion into workforce intelligence and proprietary technology allows us to approach client challenges from a broader perspective. While operating at a different stage and scale, HRCap is also continuing to build new capabilities, test new solutions, expand into new areas, and determine how best to translate innovation into sustainable business value. This gives us an increasingly relevant perspective not only as an advisor, but also as an operator navigating transformation firsthand.
HRCap extends our sincere appreciation to the Consulate General of Korea in New York, Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME), the participating startups, and the many executives and business leaders who connected with our team throughout the forum. We look forward to continuing these conversations and supporting emerging and global organizations as they translate technology, talent, and business strategy into sustainable growth.
