2023 Women’s History Month at HRCap

How HRCap is Celebrating and Honoring this Year

Written by HRCap, Inc.

March 1, 2023

Women’s History Month has been celebrated since 1987 when Congress declared the Month of March as Women’s History Month to celebrate and recognize the achievements and contributions women have made throughout American history. It also coincides with International Women’s Day, a global celebration of women's achievements, which first started on March 8, 1911.

HRCap’s Three Initiatives

In honor of Women’s History Month, we will highlight the achievements and contributions of our women leaders and empower the greater community by partaking in the following activities.

1. Highlighting Influential Women Leaders

On social media, we will be highlighting historical and current women leaders that have contributed to the growth of society.

We have placed over 500 strong candidates of all levels and backgrounds in the past few years. We will be highlighting a few of these women executives and rising women leaders that have been making a difference in their industry and functions at our client institutions and our greater communities.

2. Celebrating Women at HRCap

We are not only the largest Asian-American Executive Search Firm in the world but one that highly prioritizes and values diversity. We now have evenly distributed teams with rising women representation across our geographical divisions and functional practices. We will be acknowledging and celebrating the great multicultural women at HRCap and the unique contributions that they have made to our growing company.

3. Empowering Women through Professional Clothing Drive

Last but not least, we will be hosting a business professional clothing drive. We will be collecting women’s professional attire that is freshly dry-cleaned, ready-to-wear, and new or gently used in all sizes, such as:

  • Interview-appropriate suits and blouses

  • Professional separates including blouses, slacks, skirts, dresses, blazers, and jackets

  • Accessories: Jewelry, belts, scarves, ties

  • Work appropriate shoes

  • Handbags (briefcases, portfolios, or work-appropriate handbags)

  • New toiletries (must be new/unopened): hygiene and grooming products, cosmetics

Items should be in good condition and should have no obvious tears, stains, missing buttons, ring around the collar, or broken zippers.

We have designated boxes and hangers available at our HQ offices and will be collecting all items until Thursday, April 20, 2023.

We are carefully reviewing non-profit institutions to donate to and will be making final decisions by the end of March. If you are interested in donating know a non-profit that is in need of donations, please reach out to social@hrcap.com.

Conclusion

We invite all our candidates and clients to participate in celebrating Women’s History Month by either partaking in our clothing drive or by empowering the women in their respective communities. It is only through collective efforts that we will be able to continue to improve our society and make progress toward gender equity.
