Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sources vendors for products and raw materials.
  • Negotiates with vendors for good and services, negotiating the best possible price and service guarantee.
  • Adheres to purchasing policies and ensure compliance.
  • Develops new supply sources where vendors are inadequate.
  • Works with Credit/Accounting to establish account/credit and terms.
  • Negotiates blanket purchase orders when appropriate and monitors cost during the time period.
  • Works closely with manufacturing plants to ensure proper supplies arrived and traces delinquent arrivals from Purchase Orders.
  • Leads, manages, trains, guides, and supports members of the Purchasing team.
  • Complies with safety and corporate guidelines on business ethics.
  • Works with sales team on timing of finished goods.
  • Provides leadership, guidance and supports staff.
  • Travel internationally to factories, suppliers is required.
  • Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.
  • Proficient in project management and supply chain management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and mentor a team.
  • An excellent negotiator who is experienced in contracts.
  • A decisive individual who possesses a "big picture" perspective and is well versed in systems.
  • Demonstrated and sound understanding of financial principles and how decisions impact the firm¡¯s profitability.

    Requirements:

  • Bachelor¡¯s Degree in a related business discipline.
  • Demonstrated leadership, sales, manufacturing experience in a consumer packaged goods company.
  • Sound understanding of supply chain management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent project and program management skills.
  • Strong computer skills specifically Excel, project management software, Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong skill of Microsoft Dynamic SL preferred.


  •
